Rupture — Beginner Guide

A player-to-player progression guide based on the route IAMAMYTH would take starting a fresh account today. It doesn't replace the official in-game guide — type ;;starter for that anytime.

Guide by IAMAMYTH Bossing Route Progression Path

1. First Login — Choose Carefully

Your account type shapes the whole grind

When you first log into Rupture, you'll be asked to choose your account type. Take a minute to look through the options before locking anything in — your choice changes how your progression and overall grind feel.

Once you've made your choice, welcome to the grind.

3. Claim Your FREE Referral Rewards

Free loot is free loot — don't skip it

Before doing anything else, grab your free starter rewards:

CommandWhat it gives
;;ref memeStarter rewards & loot boxes
;;ref merkStarter rewards & loot boxes
;;ref entsStarter rewards & loot boxes
These referral commands provide useful starter rewards and loot boxes that give your account an early boost.

4. Commands You Should Know

You'll learn these naturally as you play

CommandWhat it does
;;homeReturn to the main hub
;;commandsView the full command list
;;staffFind available staff
;;yellGlobal server chat
;;voteVoting and vote rewards
;;bossesCheck active bosses and events
;;rocGiant Roc teleport
;;nexNex teleport
;;mbMage Bank teleport
;;fpFlower Poker area
;;sacallMass-sacrifice eligible items
;;opencasketsQuickly open clue caskets
;;starterOfficial in-game beginner guide
You don't need to memorize everything immediately — you'll pick them up as you go.

5. Start Training

Your first combat levels

1–40

Levels 1–40

Chickens, Cows, Goblins.

40–70

Levels 40–70

Hill Giants, Moss Giants.

Once your combat stats are getting established, start working on Slayer as early as possible.

6. Start Slayer Early

Krystilia → Wilderness Slayer → Superior Foes → Pet Eggs

Head north of Edgeville Bank and speak to Krystilia. Grab a Wilderness Slayer task and start grinding. Use the Teleport Mage at home and other server teleports to reach your tasks quickly.

Superior Foes: one of your important early Slayer goals. Superior monsters can drop Pet Eggs, which roll pets from the huge selection on Rupture. Pets aren't just cosmetic — they provide perks and eventually lead into the Pet Breeding system.

7. Don't Ignore Pets

A real part of account progression

Pets become an important part of progression. Different pets provide different bonuses, and as you advance you'll find stronger pets and learn the breeding system. If you receive Pet Eggs, don't ignore them.

8. Use Your Starter Gear

Don't chase BIS on day one

Use the equipment you receive when you start. Don't immediately worry about the best weapon or armor on the server — your starter gear is there to help you build combat stats and learn Rupture. As you grind Slayer, bosses, and events, you'll naturally replace it with better gear.

9. Giant Roc — Your First Boss

Your introduction to proper Rupture PvM

Once you've built up your combat stats, Giant Roc is a great introduction to Rupture bossing. Teleport with ;;roc.

Roc is a good place to learn:

  • Boss mechanics
  • Eating & potions
  • Prayer & positioning
  • Understanding drops
Think of Giant Roc as your introduction to proper Rupture PvM.

10. Move Into Bigger Bosses

Progress naturally — don't rush the hardest boss

Shadow Wyrm

A good step into mid-game PvM with better money and drops.

Nex — ;;nex

A major progression step with significantly stronger rewards. Don't be afraid to fight Nex with other players while you're learning.

Xamphur

Moving toward harder, end-game-focused PvM. You'll want stronger equipment, stats, and game knowledge before expecting to farm Xamphur comfortably.

11. Watch World Boss Alerts

An excellent early-upgrade opportunity

Pay attention to world boss and event alerts in chat. Type ;;bosses to see what's currently active. If stronger players are fighting a world boss, join them when possible — you don't always need to be the strongest player there to walk away with something useful.

12. Sacrifice Points

Turn spare gear into progression

Don't ignore Sacrifice Points. At home, find the Sacrifice Master near Edgeville Bank and right-click him to view Offerings. Instead of throwing away eligible equipment you no longer need, sacrifice it and turn it into points. You can also use ;;sacall to mass-sacrifice eligible items.

13. Save 100K Sacrifice Points

Goal: Immortal Ghrim

My recommendation is to save toward 100,000 Sacrifice Points for the Immortal Ghrim — a major progression upgrade worth saving for.

100K sounds like a lot when you're brand new, but as your account improves and you farm more equipment, points stack much faster. Play the long game.

14. Making Money Early

Vote regularly — easiest rewards on the server

Good beginner money-makers: Voting, Slayer, selling useful drops, Skilling, daily tasks, achievements, events, bossing, and sacrificing unwanted items strategically.

Most importantly: ;;vote — vote regularly. It's an easy source of rewards and takes very little effort. As your account grows, Slayer and bossing become much larger income sources.

15. Gear Progression

Don't overcomplicate it

Want the full picture? The Gear Tier Guide ranks every armour set and weapon on Rupture worst to best, with complete stats and exactly where each piece drops or sells.

Early Game

Starter equipment, Rune, Dragon, basic Magic gear, basic Ranged gear.

Mid Game

Barrows gear, Abyssal Whip, Dragon Boots, Amulet of Fury, better Slayer equipment, boss drops.

Late / End Game

Best-in-slot gear, custom weapons, custom armor, raid gear, high-end upgrades, rare items.

Don't expect to go from starter equipment to BIS overnight — unless RNG decides you're its favorite person.

16. Upgrade Your Gear

The Gear Upgrade NPC at the main hub

At the main hub you'll find the Gear Upgrade NPC. Get familiar with it — upgrading becomes increasingly important as you move into harder PvM. Upgrades can improve your damage, defence, overall effectiveness, and your ability to handle stronger bosses.

17. Getting Around Rupture

The Teleportation Nexus is your friend

Use the Teleportation Nexus, Teleport Mage, and server commands to travel quickly between important locations. Type ;;home whenever you need to return to the main hub. You'll eventually memorize your favorite teleports.

18. Slayer Tips

Efficiency first

Use your best Slayer Helmet

Slayer helmets provide useful bonuses while on task. Upgrade yours whenever possible.

Save your Slayer Points

Don't immediately spend every point. Look through the unlocks and prioritize upgrades that actually improve your progression.

Prioritize useful perks

Get the bonuses that make your grind faster and easier before worrying about cosmetics.

19. Get Your Combat Stats to 99

Including — importantly — 99 Slayer

Work toward 99 Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic, Prayer — and importantly 99 Slayer. Once your combat stats and Slayer are maxed, you're ready for another major progression system.

20. Prestige

“Congratulations. You've finished the tutorial.”

Once you're 99 in all combat stats including Slayer, look into Prestige. The Prestige Master is west of Edgeville Bank. Prestiging provides a huge number of benefits and becomes another major part of account progression.

Getting 99 combat isn't really the end — it's more like finishing the tutorial. Now Prestige and start climbing again.

21. Bossing Basics

Knowing the fight beats raw gear

When fighting harder bosses, come prepared: food, potions, correct combat gear, appropriate prayers, and teleports when needed. More importantly, learn the mechanics — knowing the fight can be more valuable than simply having stronger equipment. Watch experienced players, ask questions, learn from mistakes, and keep trying.

22. Trading & The Economy

Do your homework before expensive trades

Before buying or selling expensive equipment, check the Discord and ask experienced players about current prices. Use the price-check channels and trusted community members when appropriate. Don't automatically trust the first price someone gives you.

23. Flower Poker

Optional — your bank may appreciate you skipping it

Rupture has Flower Poker — ;;fp. My recommendation for brand-new players? Build your account first.

Nothing hurts quite like getting your first big drop, feeling rich for ten minutes, and immediately losing your entire bank. Gambling is optional.

24. Donator Benefits

Optional — you do NOT need to donate to reach end game

Donator ranks can provide better drop rates, extra commands, exclusive areas, and convenience perks. Certain ranks can access areas such as ::dzone.

Most importantly: you do NOT need to donate to reach end game. Free-to-play players can progress through the server and reach end-game content. Donating is optional and supports Rupture.

25. Beginner Progression Checklist

Final Advice From IAMAMYTH

Everyone starts somewhere

Rupture has a lot of content. When you first start, you'll see players running around with ridiculous equipment, crazy pets, and billions worth of gear. Don't worry about catching them immediately.

Use your starter gear. Do your Slayer. Join events. Fight bosses. Sacrifice spare equipment. Collect pets. Prestige. Join world bosses. Most importantly — ask questions. There's normally someone around who can point you in the right direction.

If you're stuck and see me online, feel free to message me. IGN: IAMAMYTH. If I know the answer, I'll help. If I don't, I'll probably find someone who does. Get grinding and welcome to Rupture. — IAMAMYTH
